Millas Quilt

My little cousin Milla was born in september. Her gender was unknown through the pregnancy so when she was born I picked her quilt. I think it was mid october by the time I started and I finished it at the end of Feb.... I'm glad that this is off my UFO list

 Isn't Milla beautiful

Thankful for the extra day!!!! 2nd and 3rd Finishes

I had these finished a couple of days ago but wasn't able to find time to take some pics. They aren't the best pics due to our gloomy weather here in the Nations Capital.
My 2nd UFO finish is a little table runner that was one of the projects at a stitching day I went to last year in May I think. I started it the day I got home and have just finished!!!

and my 3rd finish is using the left over blocks from Rhiannon's That Girl quilt which I finished in feb 2011. I made the two left overs to make at her request a quilt for Rosie Bear

Rhiannon has said Rosie loves it!!!

So that's finishes 2 and 3 for me...I am working on getting Milla's birth quilt finished (only 5 months late) so we can deliver it on the 10th....then I need to do a little sewing for the fete then back to the UFO pile and hopefully get Isaac's Boy Story quilt finished for my March finish
Cheers to you all

I got some new snap pliers yesterday and I can't use them cause I have nothing sewn to put them on.....Also have the coaster swap to sew, The back for Milla's quilt and can't go any futher with it till it's sewn, Rhiannon is bugging me for her skirt AND heaps of other little things that all need backs, binding's or quilting. Please Please let my machine come home today.

Why do our machines always decide to pack it in when you have so much you want to do??
Have cut out some swap stuff so as soon as it's back it will be on.....

First for the Year

This is my first post for the year and is also about my first finish..
I started this quilt in March/April 2010 and was making it for my Aunt's 50th that was in July. So 7 months later here it is finished

Life is Beautiful
The pattern is 'Life is Beautiful' by Hug's n Kisses
Who was I kidding thinking I could get all those stitcheries done in 2 months. Glad to say it's done and I will be glad to give it to Jenny. I highlighted some of the words by stitching them red. Words that described her and the things she does for us. Jenny looks after my elderly Grandparents and after my Grans stroke she did alot around their house, ran all over the place for them. Now they are in a village she still goes to take them to Dr's and out on outings. I wanted her to know we all appreciated what she does. Hope that she likes the quilt when she finally gets it.
Cheers for now
